DESCRIPTION:Continue the conversation with your BIPOC nonprofit professional peers. In this casual roundtable gathering\, you'll have the opportunity to share your experiences\, build collective knowledge\, and exchange ideas with your fellow BIPOC nonprofit professionals. \n\n\n\nJoin Sidney Smith\, Nonprofit Connect's Chief Operating Officer\, for group discussion\, small group networking breakout sessions\, and more!\n\n\n\nThis roundtable is intended for nonprofit professionals who identify as black\, indigenous\, and other people of color. We created these roundtables in response to feedback and numerous requests from our community. Nonprofit Connect works hard to incorporate diversity\, equity\, inclusion and belonging into all programming\, and we also believe it's important to provide intentional spaces for specific communities to share their lived experiences. \n\nSpeakers:\n\n\n\nSidney Smith serves as the Chief Operating Officer at Nonprofit Connect. In this role\, he serves a crucial function of helping to maintain and expand the goals of the organization while supporting our nonprofit members to achieve their missions and vision.\n\n\n\n\n\nSteffon Staley\, MS\, LPC\, BIP\, NCC\, is a Nationally Certified Counselor and Licensed Professional Counselor who owns New Steps Behavioral Health. New Steps Behavioral Health offers mental health services to help individuals manage difficult emotions and equip them with the tools and skills needed to live a life worth living.  \n\n \n\n"I'm on a mission to help people live a life worth living and reduce their unnecessary suffering. As a psychotherapist\, life coach and mental health consultant\, I am on a mission to get psychology out of the therapist's office and into the community. We all struggle with managing our emotions and understanding our worth\, but you are more than the worst things you've ever been through."   Steffon Staley\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\nYou!\n\nYour active participation is highly encouraged. No one has all of the solutions\, but everyone has something worth contributing. Your small group discussion participation will help others share\, grow\, and learn. Please come prepared to talk and engage in discussion. \n\nCancellation/Program Policies:\n\nNo refunds will be processed within 3 business days of the program date. No shows will be billed. Nonprofit Connect may take photographs\, screenshots\, or video recordings at public and virtual events\, so we ask that you read our Privacy Policy for more information.
