SUMMARY:Matters of the Heart: Professional Company Concert
DESCRIPTION:City in Motion will present its annual company concert\, "Matters Of the Heart"\, on Saturday\, May 6th at 7:30 p.m.\, and Sunday\, May 7th at 2 p.m. at City Stage Theater in Union Station. On Friday night May 5th a dress rehearsal will be open for dancers and dance students only as an industry night opportunity for new and seasoned artists to experience the show for free. New co-artistic directors Ann Shaughnessy and Bobbi Foudree\, former dancers of the company\, are presenting both new and previously presented works along with the choreography of company members Victoria Knox\, Liat Roth\, and Jordan Wilson. This season the company features two returning dancers: Alyssa Giade and Jordan WIlson\, and four new performing artists: Emily Dillman\, Jadelyn Ransom\, Victoria Knox\, and Liat Roth. The theme "Matters of the Heart" encapsulates underlying inspirations of the very different pieces presented including family\, sibling rivalry\, choosing a new path\, hurt\, hope and perseverance\, and the rise and fall of life's happenings\, and will be expressed in the styles of modern\, contemporary\, and aerial dance.
