This year's showcase will be held at the Gem Theater in the historic 18th & Vine District (1615 E. 18th Street\, KCMO). Kansas City's premier adjudicated choreographer's showcase will celebrate contemporary and modern dance featuring new works from the region's most talented choreographers. Featured in this year's Modern Night is the first ever "Young Choreographer's Showcase." This showcase will open the performance on February 3\, and feature up to three adjudicated solos from young choreographers ages 13-17. In order to be considered for the showcase all young choreographers must attend a weekend-long workshop where they will learn to craft a contemporary or modern solo.
