DESCRIPTION:Join us for a screening of the documentary film More Than Robots (2023) and a discussion about supporting Robotics teams. Join us for a discussion of the documentary film More Than Robots (Lucasfilm\, 2023). In addition to discussing the film\, we will discuss ways to support Eastisde KCMO robotics teams through financial support\, community resources\, and volunteering. If you've ever wondered about robotics\, this is a great event to learn more about it's collaborative team environment and the ways in which it pushes participants to creatively solve problems. Front Porch Alliance staff will be on hand to answer questions about the robotics teams we facilitate at Faxon Elementary. In 2023\, The Promise Robot Slayers advanced to the regional championship alongside a robotics team from Troost Elementary. With Troost Elementary slated to close\, support of their team is paramount. Free movie snacks and refreshments will be provided. Front Porch Alliance meets the changing needs of Eastside Kansas City (MO) residents and families at home and in school.
