DESCRIPTION:Nonprofit Executive Breakfasts are held three times per year with the goal of bringing together the executive leaders of Kansas City's nonprofits for idea sharing and networking.\n\n\n\nLeading Differences in Teams\n\n\n\nHomogeneous teams rarely exist\, let alone produce exceptional results. However\, differences on teams can regularly cause heartache. Leaders profess that personality conflicts and differences consistently get in the way of them leading successfully. The paradox is that organizations work diligently to increase the levels of diversity in their workplaces because they understand that it plays a vital role in achieving successful results. The outcome? Dissatisfaction is at an all-time high and most people want to avoid having the tough conversations necessary to move the needle forward.\n\n\n\nNicole Price\, author\, trainer\, leadership expert and CEO of Lively Paradox\, discusses how to bring about authentic\, effective\, and sustainable shift within our teams\; encouraging leaders to demonstrate a willingness to embrace and invest in three functional dimensions of culturally responsive leadership -- institutional\, leadership\, and personal. \n\n\n\nYour participation is important to us and to your colleagues throughout the Kansas City area.
