DESCRIPTION:As part of Connext's ongoing commitment to supporting our local community and celebrating the achievements of women\, we are delighted to extend an invitation to you for a special event in our All-Access Tour series. Our inaugural tour of 2024 will be hosted at Amethyst Place in Kansas City.\n\nIn honor of International Women's Day\, this tour will spotlight the incredible work and impact of Amethyst Place\, a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering women and families.\n\nJoin us for this exclusive tour\, where attendees will have the opportunity to:\n\n\n Gain firsthand insight into Amethyst Place's mission and programs.\n Meet with inspiring women who have benefited from Amethyst Place's support.\n Learn about the various ways in which we can all contribute to creating positive change in our community.\n\n\nBy supporting organizations like Amethyst Place\, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of women and families in need.\n \n\nWhile this event is free to attend\, space is limited so we request that you RSVP to secure your spot. We are excited to have you join us for this special occasion as we celebrate International Women's Day and honor the resilience and strength of women everywhere!\n\nKeep the conversation going after this event with an optional Happy Hour at The Combine KC!\n\n\n\nAbout Our Host \nAmethyst Place is the product of community leaders banding together in 1989 to help single mothers and their children overcome damaging generational cycles of substance use. Due to lack of safe housing after treatment\, these women had no choice but to return to the same communities where their substance use began\, threatening their recovery and the stability of their families. Founded in May 2000 by task force members\, Amethyst Place has filled this gap for over 23 years and has been home to over 375 families\, including 726 children.\n\n \nA Connext Program\n\n\n\n\n\n\nConnext (formerly YNPNkc) provides learning and networking opportunities for the next generation of nonprofit leaders. We welcome people of all ages and professions\, although most of our members are in their 20s and 30s and working in the nonprofit sector.\n\n\n\nConnext is committed to hosting inclusive\, accessible events that enable all community members to be comfortable and fully participate.
