DESCRIPTION:The impact of volunteers and your organization's engagement strategy can be measured by more than just volunteer hours. What other kinds of information should you keep track of\, and how do you know if you're doing a good job with your volunteers and your engagement strategy? This webinar will help you think through both the quantitative and qualitative information you can use to evaluate the impact volunteers have on your organization\, and the impact volunteering has on your volunteers.\n\n \n\nThis training will cover:\n\n Ideas for measuring the real impact of volunteers\, and how to involve volunteers in the process\;\n Tools for evaluating your organization's current volunteer engagement strategy\;\n Strategies for incorporating quantitative and qualitative information into the story of volunteer impact\, and how to share that story\; and\n Tips for conducting a volunteer satisfaction survey\, and why gathering this feedback is important.\n\n \n\nPresenter:\n\n\nJennifer Bennett joined VolunteerMatch to formalize and manage the organization's volunteer engagement program. With her breadth of experience\, she is well qualified to help VolunteerMatch's community of nonprofits better recruit and engage volunteers. She contributed The New Volunteer Manager's Toolkit chapter to the guide Volunteer Engagement 2.0: Ideas and Insights that are Changing the World published by VolunteerMatch in 2015. And\, she is the current Co-Editor and contributing author for the 4th Edition of Volunteer Administration: Professional Practice.\n\n \n\nShe's a strong believer in the importance of engaging volunteers in meaningful work and was certified in Volunteer Administration in 2009. She served on the Board of the Council for Certification in Volunteer Administration from 2012-2018\, and was the Chair from 2015-2018. Currently\, she volunteers with the Justice & Diversity Center and Project Homeless Connect in San Francisco.\n\n \n\nJennifer holds a B.A. from Randolph-Macon Woman's College in Lynchburg\, VA.\n\n\n\nContinuing Education:\n\n\n\nFull participation in this program is applicable for 1.0 point in Category 1.B - Education of the CFRE International application for initial certification and/or recertification.
