If yes, the Platte Land Trust invites you to apply for our Board of Directors.
Mission: Protecting land, natural resources, and open space in the four-corners area of Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, and Iowa for the benefit of today’s communities and future generations.
As we grow to achieve a new 2025 strategic plan, we seek individuals with a variety of experiences and skills. A desire to protect the environment for future generations is the basic requirement. Although our base is Platte County, you can live anywhere in the Kansas City region.
Board Directors serve three-year terms. We are an all-volunteer nonprofit working with voluntary landowners. Directors are expected to contribute time, talent, and treasure to fulfill our mission. This includes enrolling as a member, participating on a committee and at events, and helping with outdoor programs at the Charlotte Sawyers Nature Area.
The Board of Directors meets monthly (except July) on the second Monday at 4:30 p.m., Platte County Resource Center near Kansas City International Airport.
If interested, please contact us through our website at www.plattelandtrust.org or by email at email@example.com.
