KC VITAs, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the continuned creation and performance of 'contemporary-classical' vocal music, is seeking an enthusiastic individual to serve as Communications Director on the KC VITAs Board of Directors. Interested parties should contact Executive Director Jackson Thomas at 

The job description is as follows:

A member of the KC VITAs Chamber Choir board with a focus on communications shall have responsibility for planning and organizing event and brand awareness campaigns for KC VITAs. The Communications Director will lead a committee consisting of a graphic designer, social media specialists, and other media specialists. The Communication Director will act as the organization's liaison to media outlets and will draft and distribute press releases as approved by the Executive Director. The Communications Director will be responsible for coordinating and directing the efforts of social media specialists in maintaining the organization's social media presence across platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter). When necessary, the Communications Director will personally implement social media plans, in lieu of specialist support. The Communications Director will anticipate and request graphic design material in support of campaigns (print and/or web media) with at least one week notice to the graphic designer. The Communications Director will provide regular progress reports on planned campaigns and prior campaign metrics at board meetings. Duties, listed or otherwise, are subject to change, pending board approval.
