Volunteer Opportunity

Offer Valid: 01/08/2020 - 09/01/2020
Non-profit supporting families facing cancer needs volunteers to help on an event planning committee!
KyMel, Inc is a non-profit whose mission is to provide connecting experiences for families on the cancer journey. We currently have two flagship programs: Camp Hope, a camp for kids with cancer, and Camp SIBsational, a camp for the siblings of kids with cancer. We are 100% volunteer run.

This past year we hosted our first annual Kansas City fundraiser called Camp for a Cause.  It raised over $40,000 to help these families facing cancer. We would love to grow that fundraiser to help even more families and thus we are looking to expand and diversify our event planning committee.  Duties would include helping plan the event, volunteering the night of the event, and helping find sponsors.  We anticipate at most one face-to-face meeting every 2 months with other work being done via email.  The event will be in October, 2020.

This Volunteer Opportunity is promoted by Nonprofit Connect.
