Individual members and nonmembers can submit their opportunities for $25 per week.

Help Support Kids Facing Cancer

KyMel's mission is to provide connecting experiences to families facing cancer. Our flagship programs include Camp Hope, a summer camp for kids with cancer, and Camp SIBsational, a summer camp for the siblings of kids with cancer.  We serve families from throughout Kansas and western Missouri, including the Kansas City metro area.  Our Board of Directors is looking to add compassionate and dedicated individuals who show passion towards helping out these amazing kids facing cancer.

We encourage anyone with interest to apply. Special consideration will be given to anyone with an interest or experience in fundraising or marketing and those with corporate, legal or financial backgrounds. Board members do not need to live in Kansas City.

Board Member responsibilities include:
  • Attending quarterly meetings (typically via Zoom)
  • Serving on at least one committee (camp planning committees, event planning, financial)
  • Actively participating in email discussions when needed
  • Making an annual gift to KyMel (according to personal means)
  • Participate in fundraising events each year
  • Actively support the mission of KyMel through fundraising and promotion
