Truman Heritage Habitat for Humanity

Volunteers Urgently Needed on Thursdays and Fridays 9a-2p to help build and repair homes (some Tues/Sat availability, too).

Register as a volunteer:  http://trumanheritagehabitat.force.com/GW_Volunteers__VolunteersSignupFS

Looking for those with weekday availability to help our trained construction staff with home projects for Truman Heritage Habitat for Humanity. Experience helpful. This will be a small group or individual opportunity to help our construction staff with repair, rehab, and build projects.

Help families move into their new Habitat Homes and Homeowners keep their homes by building, rehabbing, and repairing homes. Learn new skills or share your skills.

The tasks vary from week to week - anything from framing walls to installing doorknobs. Specific job site locations vary but are all in Eastern Jackson County.

All of our volunteers must be at least 16 years of age. Youth age 16-17 must be supervised by responsible adults at a ratio of not less than one adult over the age of 21 for every four youth.

We require everyone to wear closed-toed shoes and ask for appropriate clothing (please consider the weather and work conditions). No tools are needed, just a willingness to learn new skills and to volunteer.

If interested, contact Lindsay Browne at LBrowne@Trumanhabitat.org 816-461-6551, and we will get you on our volunteer schedule. Thank you for your interest!

You can register for shifts using this link (if a group already has the day reserved, check with Lindsay if there is room for an individual before signing up):

We need your help! Please sign up for a few construction volunteer shifts. No experience needed. We are so excited to have so many great construction projects going!  Actual volunteer location will vary week to week and will be shared by email.  (address shown is the ReStore, just to help people narrow in on the general part of town).

Thank you!
