Accountant (Part-Time)

Rolling Hills Presbyterian Church is looking for a detail-oriented member to join our team! You will play an important role within a small accounting and finance department.  The successful candidate will handle traditional bookkeeping duties including payroll processing, preparing monthly financial statements and managing the general ledger. Full job description is below: 

General Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and distribute monthly financial statements
  • Attend monthly Budget and Finance meeting 
  • Maintain the general ledger, which includes: monthly journal entries and monthly reconciliations 
  • Manage stock
  • Manage church credit cards
  • Accounts payable
  • Supervise contribution recording and reporting
  • Prepare annual budget
  • Prepare payroll for Miller Management 
  • Maintain banking relationships 
  • Manage employee benefits (BOP, AFLAC, Fidelity)
  • Stewardship recording and reporting
Minimum Qualifications: 
Must have an undergraduate degree in Accounting. Church account experience helpful. Knowledge of ACS Financials a plus.

Schedule:
This is a part-time position requiring approximately 16 hours a week.  During stewardship and budget periods weekly hours may increase.
 

Job Type: Part Time

Salary Range: Up to $29,999
