Accounting Specialist

Position Description
The Accounting Specialist is responsible for supporting the financial operations of the CSF, working closely with the CFO.  The Accounting Specialist will also work directly with CSF partners in providing accurate accounting and reimbursement for their contract(s) with the CSF.  The Accounting Specialist must be able to handle sensitive/confidential information.   

Reporting
The Accounting Specialist works under the direct leadership of the Chief Financial Officer.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • General Accounting - Review, code and enter invoices into QuickBooks, including vendor payables and expense reports. Audit partners’ invoice submissions for contractual reimbursement validation. Proactively track and report delinquent partner invoice submission. Access the organization’s financial reporting system (QuickBooks) to input and process approved invoice. Perform a weekly reconciliation of amounts posted in Accounts Payable
  • Partner Support – Respond to partner queries regarding invoice and reimbursement. 
  • Audit – Assist the CSF with the year-end audit.
  • Operations  – Complete other duties as assigned. 
Qualifications and Experience
  • 1-3 years of bookkeeping experience
  • Work independently with minimal supervision required
  • Ability to build good working relationships with partners
  • Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail
  • Proficient in professional written correspondence
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • MS Office programs and QuickBooks knowledge
Working Conditions:
Hybrid, following successful onboarding.
 
Compensation:
The anticipated hiring salary range for this position is $50,000-$55,000, with offer determined by experience level and credentials.  The Children's Services Fund of Jackson County offers employees a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance, short-term & long-term disability insurance, a retirement plan, and paid time off.
