Admissions Office Manager

Medical Rehab Facility seeking a Full-Time Admissions Office Manager.

Responsible for the overall operations of the admissions office and admissions department staff supervision. Ensures accurate and timely completion of the pre-admissions process including gathering of demographics, benefit information and authorizations, and medical records; setting and communicating initial appointments and ensuring accurate registration. Ensures that patients/families/referrals sources and staff are kept current on the preadmission process for patients and informed of any issues impacting the admission. The office manager also communicates with referral sources, patients, families and the general public answering general questions. The office manager assists in the investigation and resolution of any billing issues as needed. The office manager works closely with the marketing department staff, program managers and case managers to ensure appropriate and timely admissions. Participates in facility meetings as indicated/requested. Regularly reviews polices and processes to maximize efficiencies. Completes the pre-admission process for assigned departments. Completes insurance benefit checks and acquires authorization for services as needed. Does registration as needed. Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in health services administration or related field.
  • 5+ years in office manager in health services role may substitute for degree

EXPERIENCE:

  • 2-3 years as an office manager in a medical office required
  • Experience in a physical rehabilitation and/or OT/PT/SLP practiced preferred
  • Experience in other medical practices considered
  • Experience with commercial medical insurance, benefit check, and authorizations required
  • Staff supervisory experience required
  • Experience with the workman’s compensation system preferred

SCHEDULE:

  • Monday-Friday
  • 8-hour shift, appx. 7:30 a.m.-4 p.m.
  • No weekends or holidays
