Safety, Health and Environmental Services Office Administrator
Reports to: Director of Safety, Health and Environmental Services
Position Summary
The Builders’ Association is seeking a full-time, highly motivated, Safety, Health and Environmental services office administrator. Acts as confidential assistant while providing administrative support to Director and Manager of Safety, Health & Environmental Services, and association members. This position is responsible for ensuring the confidentiality of Association affairs at all levels, both internally and externally. Coordinates office activities and operations to secure efficiency and compliance to company policies. The SH&E Office Administrator works collaboratively with the safety community, Builders’ members and Builders’ staff. Tasks include, but are not limited to, training database administrator, accounts payable/receivable for SH&E Services, submission of timely financial and training reports, preparation of presentations and proposals as assigned, and design and delivery of marketing materials. Also, must be willing and knowledgeable to assist colleagues whenever necessary as well as perform any other job-related duties requested by supervisor.

Processes day-to-day administrative items, including maintaining filing system, departmental calendar of events, accounts payable and receivables for Safety, Health and Environmental Services.

- Advises association members of training schedules, records, certification renewals, and informational bulletins. Communicates in a customer friendly manner, gaining trust and cooperation.
- Engages and maintains professional relationships with industry leaders from trade associations, unions, state and federal regulatory agencies, universities, and career centers.
- Publishes Safety, Health and Environmental Services information to The Builders’ Association website.
- Preparation and processing of awards materials.
- Disseminates “Weekly Safety Training Topics” authored by staff to members of The Builders’ Association.

- National AGC (NASA): Collaborates with the national AGCA staff and AGC-KC chapter members for submissions to annual national safety awards program.
- The Builders’ Association: Assists in the delivery of the annual local construction safety awards program. Design and marketing of all flyers associated with the awards ceremony.

- Proficiency in software including Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher, Access, PowerPoint, Photo Editor, Adobe Photoshop CC and Acrobat DC. Knowledge of programs such as IMIS, Informz, Survey Monkey, OSHA Outreach Portal, American Red Cross Learning Center.
- Self-motivated, with excellent written and verbal communication, and strong interpersonal skills to independently complete tasks that support organization and team goals.
- Working knowledge of office procedures and commitment to maintaining client and company confidentiality.
