Community Fundraising Specialist - Dallas Region

Due to growth in the Foundation, the position of Community Fundraising Specialist - Dallas Region is open.

Primary Function:
  1. Manage a region of fundraising events; implementing a strategy for revenue growth and acquisition goals for team captains, sponsors and events.
  2. Manage a strategic coaching and cultivation calendar to span all events, participants and sponsors in defined region.
  3. Live and work remotely within assigned region (Dallas).
Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Retain, recruit and coach volunteer leaders to achieve participation and revenue goals for each assigned location.
  2. Develop and distribute resources to facilitate volunteer performance.
  3. Identify and assist local volunteer leadership in recruiting a committee.
  4. Maintain a strong working relationship with local volunteers.
  5. Facilitate event logistics and assist with local promotion of assigned fundraising events.
  6. Monitor and measure the fundraising progress of Team Captains. Analyze, review and report on trends, new acquisition and retention.
  7. Utilize team captain resources to increase overall number of team captains per event and increase team fundraising.
  8. Prospect and solicit new corporate sponsors while cultivating past sponsors
  9. Identify new fundraising event opportunities.
  10. Work cooperatively and collaboratively with all Volunteer Leadership staff.
  11. Stay up-to-date in peer to peer fundraising and volunteer management.
  12. Provide excellent customer service.
  13. Other duties as assigned.
  1. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in peer to peer fundraising, event and volunteer management.
  1. Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
  2. Organizational and project management skills required.
  3. Proficiency in managing multiple projects at one time.
Technical Skills:
  1. Knowledge of peer to peer fundraising platforms.
  2. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Travel: Travel as needed. Occasional after-hours volunteer training/coaching.
