Development Coordinator

Status: Non-Exempt, Full Time

Location: Remote Worker in the United States

The Development Coordinator works directly with the Development team to organize and execute the fundraising efforts of Mid-America Arts Alliance. You will aid in the developing fundraising plans, participate in solving logistical issues and collaborate with multiple colleagues and divisions.

You Will:

  • Collaborate with Development team to aggregate information on prospective donors and funders
  • Lead administrative activities required to prospect, cultivate, and steward our philanthropic relationships
  • Compile accurate information to bolster institutional storytelling and narrative development for proposals and reports
  • Acquire and maintain an understanding of our institutional history, range of programs, and future programmatic directions
  • Maintain accurate donor and funder records, task management software, and Development division calendar
  • Help plan and implement donor cultivation events
  • Track and maintain Annual Fund Development Plan and Strategic Plan goals as they pertain to fundraising and development
  • Draft, review, and edit written materials for a range of audiences including staff, board, donors, funders, and the general public

You Have:

  • Minimum of 2 years professional experience in communication, development, arts administration or project management
  • Knowledge of Salesforce
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working in the arts (in fundraising or any other capacity)
  • Ability to prioritize,, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Well-versed in Microsoft Office or similar suite and task management software?

Working Conditions:

Most work is of a sedentary nature, sitting at a desk using a computer, phone, and other office equipment. While a majority of work occurs around a long-term plan, you may need to change priorities and manage additional projects with short-term deadlines that can require overtime.

Salary Description: $21.15 - $24.04 / hour
