Development Manager

This full-time permanent position is for immediate hire and reports to the Executive Director. This impactful leadership position is responsible for overseeing all marketing and development functions and for assisting with community outreach activities.


  • Work with the Executive Director on marketing and development strategic initiatives
  • Assist with driving development and fundraising, including maintaining and growing relations with established donor base
  • Responsible for establishment and maintenance of giving campaigns
  • Assist with CRM software selection, implementation and maintenance
  • Assist with donor tracking and acknowledgements
  • Lead development events including annual auction, golf tournament, fundraising parties and community events
  • Manage event, marketing, social media and development staff, consultants and volunteers
  • Work directly with media to promote the center and its services
  • Responsible for new marketing initiatives which may include Giving Tuesday Campaign and Gratitude Report.
  • Direct all marketing functions including branding, creation of newsletters and flyers, web page and social media accounts
  • Assist with Community Outreach activities including speaking at group and parish events/Masses and community networking events and promoting food drives and other initiatives
  • Assist with grant writing and reporting

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 3+ years’ experience in a nonprofit development role
  • Marketing experience is a plus
  • 3+ years’ management experience; nonprofit leadership experience is a plus
  • Experience managing events
  • Social Media management is a plus
  • Grant writing or reporting experience is a plus
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft office and demonstrated ability to learn new software
  • Experience with CRM or volunteer management software
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Outstanding written oral and interpersonal communication skills including email writing and phone manner
  • Demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy skills

Hours: 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
