DIRECTOR OF ANNUAL GIVING

 
 
KCPT is seeking a Director of Annual Giving.  This position is responsible for leading the Annual Fund team in an array of activities, resulting in an increased number of supporters for Kansas City PBS and KTBG-90.9 The Bridge. Overall responsibility for a multi-million Annual Fund program, including acquisition, renewal and additional-gift efforts occurring on television, radio, through mail, web and social marketing, and special events.
 
Job functions include:
 
  • Oversee all functions of the Annual Fund program for KCPT and The Bridge.
  • Bring maximum net revenue to the station while maintaining KCPT and The Bridge brands and integrity.
  • Lead funding activities that enhance KCPT’s and The Bridge’s community presence, while generating revenue.
  • Analyze results of Annual Fund campaigns and develop strategies to identify new areas for growth in donor engagement and revenue, including higher retention rates; increased average gifts; new prospect pools and expanded demographic reach; and net revenue.
  • Recruit new individual supporters to the KCPT and The Bridge causes and move them up the giving ladder to become Major Donors and Corporate/Foundation givers.
  • Manage Annual Giving team to ensure a process oriented, donor first model of fundraising and customer service.
  • Manage relationships with volunteers, internal and external stakeholders as well as vendors.
 

Qualified applicants will have an undergraduate degree in communications, business, public relations, marketing or related field and four or more years of professional fundraising or marketing experience. Strong verbal and written communications skills, attention to detail and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision are a must as well as experience with Access, Excel, Word and knowledge of e-mail and Internet usage. The ability to work flexible hours including some evenings and weekends is required.
