KIDS MINISTRY COORDINATOR (Birth-Pre-K)

WHAT IS THE JOB? 

The Kids Ministry Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing and organizing all aspects of Early Childhood as well as assisting within our Family Ministry Department as a whole. This person will be responsible for carrying out the mission and vision of the church as directed by the Family Ministry Director. 

GOALS AND OUTCOMES 

Align Leaders

  • Train and align leaders to work together around a common strategy, values, and language.
  • Champion vision and values of kids ministry throughout church.
  • Facilitate effective meetings to collaborate with key leaders in the organization.
  • Manage budget and resources needed to make kids ministry successful.

Engage Every Parent

  • Engage every parent and guardian to partner with the ministry.
  • Design strategic opportunities to help every parent stay connected.
  • Provide resources and experiences that help parents shepard their own kids.
  • Leverage digital strategies to keep parents inspired and informed.

Refine the Message

  • Design a messaging strategy that communicates spiritual truths to kids.
  • Produce strategic experiences to be relevant and engaging for kids.
  • Develop and improve a diverse volunteer team to communicate and lead experiences.

Influence Service

  • Create an age appropriate plan to engage kids in ministry and service opportunities.
  • Train adult leaders to co-lead with student volunteers.
  • Establish seasonal initiatives for families to serve together.

Elevate Community

  • Recruit and develop volunteers to lead kids in weekly small groups.
  • Implement a system to recruit and train small group leaders.
  • Manage group structure to connect kids relationally with peers and leaders.
  • Leverage digital strategies to enhance learning and relationships.

WHAT WILL YOU BRING?  

  • Experience working with kids, families, and parents
  • Proven track record of relational leadership 
  • The ability to stay ahead of things, be detailed in what you do, and move in a fast-paced environment.
