Teacher Aide

The Teacher Aide is responsible for assisting the Lead Teacher and Assistant Teacher with the daily operation of an assigned classroom to meet all federal and state guidelines. This position will work in the Infant-Toddler Classroom (ages 0-3) and will float between classrooms as necessary.

Required Qualifications:

  • Child Development Associate (CDA)
  • Experience working with children ages 0-3.
  • Ability to become CPR and First Aid Certified within 30 days of employment.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with staff, parents of children and other community service providers and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Ability to adapt to constant changes in job duties.
  • Ability to individualize care based on individual children’s needs (medical, educational, family situations).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree in Child Development or Early Childhood Education from an accredited College or University.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish.
  • At least one year of teaching experience in the Early Childhood field.
