Finance Manager

Position Overview:
The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the financial operations of the organization. This role is critical in ensuring the financial health and sustainability of the organization by handling budget development, financial reporting, audit management, and grant expenditure verification and tracking. The ideal candidate will possess strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Excel, with a deep understanding of financial reporting and compliance within the non-profit sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Budget Development: Lead the annual budget planning process, including preparing, analyzing, and presenting budgets for management and board approval.
  • Audit Management: Coordinate and manage the annual audit process, including liaising with external auditors and ensuring timely submission of required documents.
  • Grant Management: Verify and track grant expenditures, ensuring compliance with grant agreements and proper allocation of funds.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and present accurate financial reports, including monthly and annual financial statements.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and governmental accounting standards.
  • Systems Management: Maintain and optimize financial systems, including QuickBooks, to ensure accurate and efficient financial operations.
  • Internal Controls: Develop and monitor internal controls to safeguard the organization’s assets and ensure the integrity of financial information.
 Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial management.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel, with the ability to perform complex financial analysis and reporting preferred.
  • Strong understanding of budgeting, financial reporting, and audit processes.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to present financial information clearly.
  • Knowledge of grant management and compliance requirements is a plus.
 
 

Job Type: Full Time

Salary Range: $50,000 - 74,999
