Clinical Director

OMNI is honored to partner with Jewish Family Services of Greater Kansas City in their search for a full-time Clinical Director. The Clinical Director will be an experienced mental health clinician who will provide leadership for strategic growth and development of the counseling program and team. This includes ensuring a cohesive, effective team to provide good clinical outcomes with effective implementation of evidence-based practices. Currently this role requires minimal evening hours with no on-call or weekend hours. This on-site position will be based out of their Brookside location but will additionally travel to the Overland Park location.

Position Summary
Reporting to the Chief Program Officer, the Clinical Director will:

  • Provide quality oversight to a team of 5 clinicians, assuring appropriate and evidence-based treatment interventions are accurate, timely and compliant with all regulations.
  • Achieve clinical outcomes and service hour goals while simultaneously monitoring and moderating caseload intensities.
  • Support and maintain the optimum mix of staff and clinicians, promoting team cohesion while also having the ability to efficiently scale services as needed. Work to ensure a diverse staff mix consistent with diversity, equity, and inclusion practices.
  • Engage in program outreach and promotion in coordination with the Director of Mental Health Programs and the Advancement team.
  • Assist with strategically growing the program, engage new funders, and expand third party billing including Medicaid in Missouri and Kansas.
  • Prepare for and manage counseling audits and site reviews.
  • Ensure proper credentialing of clinical staff.
  • Provide clinical support and consultation as needed to other program teams.
  • Implement strategies to streamline and effectively manage the counseling waitlist and client wait-times.
  • Maintain a process to ascertain clients who access services are within the scope of practice.
  • Manage a half time client caseload and meet pro-rated direct service hour requirements.
Position Qualifications
  • Current licensed clinic mental health professional, licensed at the clinical level in both Missouri and Kansas.
  • 3+ years of team supervision experience in a mental health setting.
  • Experience with information systems including client management systems. Efforts to Outcome, Paylocity, and SharePoint preferred.
  • Ability to think and act strategically, communicate clearly, and work collaboratively with program staff, colleagues, community partners, and program participants.
  • Exemplifies the organization’s guiding principles in supervisory, collegial, and community relationships.
