Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)

KVC Missouri Residential Treatment Facility: St. James, MO
Salary: $55,000-$60,000 annually (dependent on education and experience)
Education: Master's degree in speech language pathology
Licensure/Certification: Missouri license to practice speech-language pathology from the Missouri Board of Healing Arts Completed CPR and First Aid training  

Job Summary
The speech-language pathologist (SLP) works with students ranging in age from 5-21 years on communication skills. These skills can include articulation, all aspects of language (phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics, pragmatics), augmentative/alternative communication, fluency, and/or voice. The SLP works directly with classroom teachers, therapists, other school staff (occupational therapists, board-certified behavior analysts, residential staff, etc.), and families to collaborate on IEP goals and their implementation.

Requirements:

  • Valid MO class E driver's license
  • Good communication skills
  • Proficiency in English
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • ASHA CCC
  • Preferred: experience with trauma-informed care and special needs students
