Human Resources Generalist II (St. Joseph, MO)

Position: Human Resources Generalist II (St. Joseph, MO)
Pay Grade: 6
Salary: $37,000-$55,000
(Starting salary depends on education and experience)
 
RESPONSIBILITIES: Cornerstones of Care is looking for an experienced and driven Human Resource (HR) Generalist to work amongst our energetic team of people in our St. Joseph, Missouri location. This position supports our St. Joseph location and surrounding areas, and will report to the Human Resources Director-Operations.  Must have a comprehensive understanding of all HR Generalist Functions to include compensation, benefits, recruitment, and employee relations. The HR Generalist maintains responsibility for Human Resources activities including but not limited to employee relations, benefits administration, compensation, performance management, HRIS, and the Applicant Tracking System. Provides advice, counsel, and follow-up on organizational policies, procedures, and documentation. Serve as a front-line resource in assisting both employees and management staff with HR-related questions providing for total customer satisfaction.  The HR Generalist will oversee onboarding activities, such as making job offers and conducting New Employee Orientation.  This position is also responsible for maintaining personnel files, running and creating reports, and conducting activities associated with open enrollment. Other key job duties include attending career fairs, assisting with social media job campaigns, acting as a HR representative on committees as needed, and completing other HR or organizational duties/tasks as assigned.
 
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, Accounting, or related field required, PHR or SPHR certification or the ability to obtain is preferred. Three (3) years or more in an HR Generalist role. Must be approachable and trustworthy with the ability to handle confidential information.  The ideal candidate must exhibit strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills.  Must have the ability to work independently while contributing to the team environment and provide excellent overall customer service. The successful candidate must be capable of meeting internal and external deadlines and producing consistently high-quality work. Occasional travel to the Kansas City, Missouri area will be required.  Must pass a background check, physical and drug screening.  This position also requires a valid driver’s license and proof of current vehicle insurance.
