Job Title:  Senior Business Intelligence Analyst

SUMMARY
 
The senior business intelligence analyst provides information primarily to the Executive Team and Management Team  This position is of utmost importance to leadership and the board and the candidate is expected to offer data driven intelligence to every aspect of the organization.  This intelligence is derived by acquiring & cleaning data, designing & populating databases, and extracting data to create information so decisions may be made and subsequent actions taken,
 
BASIC FUNCTIONS AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Reporting & Analysis
    • Consult with clients to provide advanced level business reporting, forecasting, analysis and modeling to support management decision making.
    • Synthesizes large amounts of data into meaningful summarized reports to enhance leadership’s ability to understand the information and make decisions.
    • Develops graphs, charts and presentations to clearly show data trends and projections.  Clearly and articulately communicates interpretation and results with the appropriate audience.
    • Analyzes data proactively to discover opportunity for prospective metric improvement.  Provides interpretation and makes recommendations.
    • Responsibility for the evaluation of business intelligence software purchases.
  • Database Administration
    • Design new databases based on company needs, data storage needs, and the number of users accessing the database.
    • Responsibility for the evaluation of database software purchases.
    • Supervision of modifications to any existing database software to meet the needs of their employer.
    • Responsibility for maintaining the integrity and performance of company databases.
    • Informing end users of changes in databases and train them to utilize systems.
    • Utilize company resources to curate data.
    • Troubleshoot database code that extracts, transforms and loads data, checking for potential problems that affect database functionality and related database programs.
    • Design new data collection models to better collect information.
    • Perform data profiling to identify anomalies.
    • Oversee the deployment of data to the data warehouse.
    • Develop policies and procedures for the collection and analysis of data.
    • Implement new data analysis methodologies.
    • Review customer files to ensure integrity of data collection and utilization.
  • Other duties as assigned
    • Prepares complex business related analysis, modeling and research.  Provides support for large, complex projects.
    • May participate in special projects, including creating and implementing appropriate operational models.
    • Assists in the development of organization business policies, conducts special business related studies and cooperates with other departments in the preparation of analyses.
    • Backup the organization’s Network Administrator and system administrators as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Bachelor's degree in business, management, accounting, economics, statistics, information science or a related field.
  2. 3-5 years in an analytical position.
  3. Familiarity with data collection software and protocol.
  4. Experience integrating new software and programs into data services.
  5. Must be able to communicate effectively in English – both in writing and orally.
  6. Must not have been convicted of any disqualifying felony and must not have been substantiated for abuse or neglect in the state of Missouri, as recorded by the Department of Mental Health’s Employee Disqualification List.
  7. Must demonstrate safe practices in all areas and exemplify positive professional standards.
  8. Must obtain a Class E driver’s license during new hire orientation– must carry minimum coverage applicable by law for auto insurance
  9. Must Receive Seasonal Flu Vaccination
  10. Must Receive Covid-19 Vaccination
