Marketing Coordinator

FLSA STATUS: Exempt                                     
Compensation Range: $48,000 - $55,000, based on experience 
This position is full time and eligible for benefits.

BioNexus KC is working on several new initiatives with diverse and multi-cultural marketing needs. We are searching for a passionate Marketing Coordinator to join our team and support these initiatives. This is an exciting and unique opportunity to make a significant impact for the region’s life sciences through:

  • Communications and Writing
  • Advocacy for Marginalized Communities
  • Social Media
  • Event Assistance
  • Analytics & SEO
  • Content Creation
    • Write captivating content for social media, email newsletters, web articles, reports, and more
    • Maintain a consistent brand voice and tone, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines
    • Curate a content calendar and schedule to ensure timely and consistent delivery across all relevant channels
    • Coordinates and assists with marketing communications, and public relations activities both external and internal
    • Write various news releases and articles promoting the region
  • Social Media Marketing
    • Manage and grow our social media presence
    • Create and schedule posts for LinkedIn and Twitter
    • Analyze & report on performance metrics to optimize strategies & engagement
    • Design engaging and relevant graphics for social media,  ensuring use of brand standards
  • Email Marketing
    • Work closely with Director of Marketing to plan, design, and execute email marketing newsletters
    • Analyze email campaign performance and make data-driven recommendations for improvement including A/B testing and segmentation
  • Events
    • Assist in planning and coordinating multiple events ranging from 50 – 500 people
    • Provide support for all event setup, operation, and breakdown
    • Willingness to work outside of regular business hours to assist with events as needed
  • General Marketing
    • Manage multiple tasks simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and objectives are achieved
    • Work closely with all team members to assist with marketing and communications as needed
    • Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, preparing reports, and reviewing materials
    • Stay on top of marketing trends and actively share new insights with team
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred and/or 1-3 years of unique professional experience in:
    • Managing social media platforms
    • Writing engaging articles and copy
    • Assisting with website updates
    • Coordinating events
    • Excellent writing and editing skills
  • Proficiency in Adobe Suite, Microsoft Office, WordPress, Mailchimp, Hootsuite, LinkedIn, Twitter
  • Knowledge in Google Analytics, Salesforce, Guidebook
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
  • Excellent responsiveness, organization, and time management skills

Salary Range: $50,000 - 74,999
