Sponsorship and Events Manager
 
Rose Brooks Center, a non-profit domestic violence agency seeks a full-time, exempt Sponsorship and Events Manager, reporting to the Director of Donor Stewardship and Marketing.
 
The Sponsorship and Events Manager manages, directs and oversees all aspects of major fundraising events, including securing event revenue through individual and corporate sponsors and vendors. The position builds relationships with event sponsors, vendors, and others, and provides support to Event Chairpersons and various Committee Members, as well as provides tracking and reporting on budgets and results of all events. Provides internal department infrastructure support as needed, communicates RBC’s services to the community and represents RBC at community events. (POSN # 60-001-FT-SEM)
 
OTHER ASPECTS OF THE JOB:
  1. Perform all job responsibilities while demonstrating proficiency in all RBC competencies and a commitment to the overall mission of Rose Brooks Center.
  2. Perform functions of job according to agency policies and procedures.
  3. Participate in all required trainings and optional trainings as determined.
  4. Attend scheduled staff, team and supervisor meetings.
  5. May perform other duties as assigned.
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
 
Required Education:
•           Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or commensurate work experience.
 
Required:
  • Demonstrated commitment to accountability, measuring monetary outcomes and a results-oriented culture.
  • Experience in making personal requests from individual donors and corporate sponsors
  • Experience working one on one with high profile chairpersons and leading event committees.
  • Previous direct work experience in events management
  • Familiarity with donor tracking systems
  • Ability to work with diverse groups of people.
  • Sound judgment, professionalism and a positive attitude
  • Resourcefulness, creativity and strong problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrate ongoing level of excellence in communication, team building, and quality delivery
  • Demonstrated ability to work well independently, as well as part of a team.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; working knowledge of Adobe Design suites preferred
 
Preferred:
•           Experience in being a part of a team raising annual multi-million dollar budget.
•           Sales background a plus.
 
WORK HOURS:  Full-time, exempt position (min. of 40 hours). Monday - Friday, however requires flexibility in work schedule. Limited local travel and some evenings and weekends are required. This position may be eligible for working remote.
