Our mission is to launch breakthrough education solutions while building a dynamic, community infrastructure required to support the scale of effective innovations. To realize this mission, LEANLAB Education facilitates research pilots between schools (school partners) and education startups (entrepreneur partners) to engage in the co-design process, actively testing solutions and collaboratively working toward creating new solutions that accelerate student outcomes. 


POSITION

LEANLAB Education is searching for a Lead for its Operations Team. This position will focus on managing the organization’s finances, human resources, office management, and overall infrastructure for LEANLAB Education’s programmatic teams.

Ideal candidates will be familiar with flat/distributed/nimble organizational structures and creating dynamic work processes and cultures for high performing organizations.

Candidates must be willing to work in a fast-paced startup environment, exhibit humility and be able to toggle between strategic high-level work and detail-oriented tasks. The ideal candidate will have the ability to serve as the leader of an Operations Team. Specific job duties include the following:



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Human Resources

  • Serve as liaison to e2E, organization’s contracted HR service provider

  • Organize and lead team retreats

  • Support for staff professional development

Financial Management

  • Serve as liaison to e2E, organization’s contracted CFO service provider

  • Communicate with staff to facilitate expense reporting, budget tracking, revenue projections

  • Review and disseminate financial reports to staff and board

Board of Directors Support

  • Oversee completion of monthly board meeting packets and presentations 

  • Schedule and coordinate regular board meeting check-ins

Program Team Support

  • Staff IT/technology support

  • Day to Day management of organization’s hybrid work environment

  • Event planning and travel scheduling as needed

  • Facilitator of cross-team communication

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

Qualifications Needed

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent

  • Successful management/oversight experience required with demonstrated ability in non-profit agency management and knowledge of the field of education.

  • Experience in the nonprofit sector and a passion for educational opportunity

  • Strong financial management skills, including budget preparation, analysis, compliance, and reporting

  • Human Resources experience, including employee onboarding and supporting a positive work culture

  • Effective interpersonal and problem-solving skills

Job Type: Full Time

Salary Range: $30,000 - 49,999,$50,000 - 74,999
