To provide support to various staff for billing purposes and regulation compliance. Responsible for audit of documentation and records to ensure written compliance as outlined in Person-Centered Plans vs billing records. Provide facility health and safety inspections and make recommendations on home improvements. Assist in identifying training needs through data reports and trends.

Conduct random sample of monthly audits of billing records versus services provided and follow up regarding re-training staff per the organizations' policies, CARF standards, and/or Department of Mental Health requirements;
Conduct a random sample of Person-Centered Plan audits monthly to ensure compliance and follow up to recommend staff to training on how completing documentation properly and if needed, recommendations for oversight staff to ensure proper monthly tracking of directives;
Documents and communicates all audit finding to appropriate personnel and ensure a timely resolution;
Assist in tracking identified trends and report findings;
Set up client records in the record-keeping system and assist in maintaining those records; run data collection reports for training department;
Coordinate and conduct Health and Safety Inspections and report findings for homes and agency-owned apartments quarterly and ISL locations bi-annually;
Write training curriculum for positions as requested to enhance knowledge;
Oversee and monitor deficiencies in identified areas related to quality and National Core Indicators and report findings to appropriate personnel;
Assist in tracking Health Improvement Profiles (HIPs) and Action Plan Tracking System (APTs) findings and report trends;
Develop and oversee Due Process hearings for individuals who have limitations/restrictions written in their Person-Centered Plans or who have otherwise been informed that limitations/restrictions are needed to ensure proper care;
Exceptional database management system and quality control experience
Strong numerical skills and understanding of statistics and analysisAbility to analyze and solve complex problems

This job operates in an office setting with visits program settings with exposure to high levels of noise, human elements such as (blood, urine, etc.); frequent interruptions and fast paced working conditions. In this role standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines are routinely used.
The employee is occasionally required to sit, stoop, kneel, climb or bend. The employee must constantly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Also requires stepping up into commercial passenger vans as needed.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position with core hours of work being Monday-Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm.
Driving throughout the metropolitan area or as needed using your personal vehicle
Required Education and/or Experience
High level of understanding of the DMH and Service Coordination entities regulations and processes.
Three years of experience working in compliance and/or quality assurance areas or doing compliance-like tasks
One years of experience in human services related field
Demonstrate understanding of, and ability to relate and work with the needs of adults with developmental disabilities.
