Program Specialist - 59-21
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position manages all aspects of organizing and coordinating programs, including budget management, program administration, communication with all stakeholders, and meeting planning. Must be an effective leader for change and focus on developing programs to support the organization’s strategic direction, as well as creating and managing long-term goals. This position serves as recording secretary for the Program Administration. In addition, this position serves as staff contact for the Family Medicine Cares Work Group (Resident Student Award) and Board of Curators Subcommittees (Student & Resident Essay Contest and Sandy L. Panther Fellowship).
Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree or through equivalent work experience plus at least four years of related work experience. Skills needed include: meeting logistics; budget coordination; strong written and verbal communication skills; program management; ability to take meeting minutes; report writing; and collaboration with people in a variety of settings and staffing levels. Organizational skills to handle multiple assignments simultaneously. Strong computer skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and online application platform, such as OpenWater preferred. Must work well under pressure and possess a professional, service-oriented attitude.
HOURS: Monday - Friday Additional time as required
TRAVEL: Possible 6 days travel annually
