Founded in 1969 by the Daughters of Charity and the Ladies of Charity of Metropolitan Kansas City, Seton

Center, a Community Health Ministry of Ascension Health, is dedicated to serving neighbors in need in

Kansas City’s urban core.

 

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, Seton Center has evolved into a comprehensive community and

neighborhood center providing a food pantry, rent and utility assistance, thrift store, and one of Kansas City’s

largest safety net dental clinics.

 

Seton Center is funded through foundation grants, donations from individuals, corporations, civic groups and

faith communities, and fees for dental services.

 

Seton Center helps break cycles of poverty through our dental, social and educational programs that address

What you will do:

 

The Program Coordinator will assist with delivering high quality services and programs to our Seton Center

community. This role will conduct client intake/assessments and will provide support with programs offered to

Seton clients, including clothing closet, emergency rental and utility assistance, Happy Bottoms program,

AccessKC vouchers, and more. Reporting to the Program Director, this position will provide top tier customer

service to our Seton neighbors while preserving human dignity.

  •  Manage the full client intake process which consists of walk ins and referrals

  •  Manage the ongoing collection of required documentation and SDoH data

  •  Qualify clients for key programs like clothing closet, emergency rental and utility assistance, Happy

  •  Bottoms, AccessKC vouchers, and more

  •  Deliver services for key programs like emergency rental and utility assistance, Happy Bottoms,

  •  AccessKC vouchers, as well as Seton’s annual signature events

  •  Schedule clients for clothing closest appointments

  •  Ensure top tier customer service is provided to all Seton neighbors while ensuring human dignity

  •  Ensure confidentiality of sensitive information

  •  Qualifications:

  •  Bilingual in English and Spanish required

  •  A bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of applicable work experience

  •  1+ years of customer service experience

  •  Commitment to Seton’s mission statement and values

  •  Experience with Charity Tracker preferred; ability to learn the system quickly if no prior experience

  •  Experience with a trauma-informed care approach

  •  Mission-driven associate with passion for the mission of Seton Center

  •  Organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to maintain accurate records and statistics

  •  Respect of cultural differences, levels of education, physical functioning, and crisis situations

  •  Excellent verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail

  •  Self-motivated and strong work ethic

  •  Self-starter with entrepreneurial growth mindset

 

Compensation: $17-20/hr

 

Work Location: Seton Center is open Monday through Friday and work will take place on site at Seton

Center, 2816 E 23rd Street, Kansas City, MO 64127.

 

Job Type: Full Time

Salary Range: $30,000 - 49,999
