Client Advocate (part-time) - Domestic Violence Center
Synergy Services mission is to strengthen the individual, family and community through prevention, crisis intervention, shelter, counseling, advocacy and education. We have an immediate need for a part-time Client Advocate at our Domestic Violence Center. Our Domestic Violence Center is for individuals and their children who are leaving a domestic violence situation and in need of a safe, supportive, nurturing environment to reside.
Part-time hours are:
Responsibilities include: advocacy and crisis intervention services for clients. Other responsibilities include completing intake interviews, answering hotline, safety planning and facilitating community building activities with our clients as needed.
Position requires an Associates Degree or equivalent from two year college or technical school or at least one year related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelors Degree in social services related filed preferred. Prior experience with victims of domestic violence in a residential setting is preferred. Bilingual Spanish-English preferred.
Candidates must be at least 21 years of age, consent to Background Check and Children's Division (Central Registry/Child Abuse) screening, fingerprint screen and have a valid driver's license and proof of insurance. Position requires CPR, Med Tech Certification and Chauffeur's License within 30 days from date of hire.
Competitive hourly rate of pay offered.
