Due Process/Utilization Review Specialist
EITAS is seeking a Due Process/Utilization Review Specialist to support the Support Coordination department by reviewing rights restrictions in plans when requested by the Support Coordinator or the Support Coordination Supervisor. The purpose of the reviews is to ensure all required information is accurate, complete, and provides justification for the request. While Due Process duties are the primary role of the position, the employee in this position will also serve as a Utilization Review Specialist when time permits. The Due Process/Utilization Review Specialist performs a variety of duties requiring strict confidentiality and above average organizational skills. All activities must be in accordance with the policies and practices of EITAS. The qualified candidate in this position must frequently develop and refine his/her own work routine, adapt to interruptions, and is expected to carry assignments through to completion in an accurate and timely manner. The Due Process/Utilization Review Specialist may prepare requests for any individual in targeted case management services if necessary.
The qualified candidate must have at minimum a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Rehabilitation, Psychology, Special Education or closely related field; and at least two years’ experience as a Support Coordinator in the field of intellectual/developmental disabilities. That experience must include responsibility for writing due process plans and utilization review requests.
