The Kansas City No Violence Alliance (KC NoVA) is pleased to announce a job vacancy for the position of Social Services Client Advocate. Hiring for the position is expected to be in June of 2019.
KC NoVA is a collaborative initiative between key law enforcement leaders in the Kansas City community. The project’s governing board includes the Mayor of Kansas City, the Chief of Police, the Jackson County Prosecutor, the Regional Administrator of Missouri Probation & Parole, the US Attorney, the Federal Bureau of Investigations, Alcohol, Tobacco & Firearms, and an Educational partner the University of Missouri Kansas City. Our mission is to reduce violent crime in Kansas City through a mixture of law enforcement and social service components.
The Social Services Client Advocate will report to the KC NoVA Community Engagement Director. The job responsibilities and duties will include but not be limited to the case management of up to 45 justice-involved individuals; transporting (in a company-provided vehicle); supporting clients toward becoming self-sufficient. Client Advocates work hand in hand with the clients on their caseload to assist them with employment, educational, and health-related needs.
The Social Service branch of KC NoVA operation center is located in the Seton Center. This position is open until filled. Compensation for this position is based on the qualifications and experience. A competitive benefits package is offered which includes medical and dental coverage.
