Green Works in Kansas City

About Us

At Green Works in Kansas City we put everything we are into everything we do to serve motivated young people living in the urban neighborhoods served by Kansas City Public Schools. We are committed to providing high-quality education and workforce opportunities through an environmental platform.

In our environmental education programs, we take field trips to urban parks, hike, bird watch, learn to identify native trees and plants, take part in water quality testing, and engage in recycling projects. We also complete environmental lessons, and then apply what we have learned to a community service project.

In our career-readiness and leadership development program, we provide career exploration, teach job and life skills, and offer digital and financial literacy lessons to prepare students for summer internships or work experiences and life after high school.
