Nick Carswell has joined the Board of Directors of
The Heartland Song Network!
The Heartland Song Network is pleased to announce Nick Carswell has joined the Board of Directors of The Heartland Song Network!
Nick is a musician, organizer and cultural producer. He has been performing music for 25 years in his native Ireland and across the US Midwest (where he has lived since 2011).  His main creative output is as songwriter and front man for the alt-rock 5 piece, Carswell & Hope. Nick has also made award-winning short films, produced radio programs, and created large scale public art projects in Lawrence and Kansas City.

Nick has wide experience with arts & cultural non-profits, community organizing, public art and professional development. He is currently program manager for the Audio-Reader Network, an audio information service for individuals with print-disabilities.

The Heartland Song Network’s Mission is to empower the art of songwriting (regardless of genre) through education, collaboration and mentorship.
The idea for the Network was born at the 2020 Folk Alliance International Conference in New Orleans. A group of like-minded people from a variety of backgrounds began meeting to articulate a vision and create a structure for elevating the art of the song and songwriting in America’s Heartland.
Network Members are afforded unique opportunities through a series of collaborations, shows, workshops and events with access to unique and exclusive content to make connections with existing and prospective complementary music ecosystem members.
