Kansas City, MO – November 18, 2022 - Nonprofit Connect honors 70 nonprofit organizations for excellence in marketing and communications at the 2022 Philly Awards Week, with two live-streamed presentations on November 15 & 16 and an in-person reception on Thursday, November 17 at the Vox Theatre.
Any and all nonprofit organizations were invited to submit marketing & communication pieces in a variety of categories. Nonprofit Connect received over 215 entries from our Nonprofit Members in 2022. Entries were evaluated by a carefully-selected panel of local marketing professionals. Organizations were divided into three categories based on each organizations previous fiscal year revenue: small (below $1 Million), medium (between $1 Million - $5 Million) and large (above $5 Million). Judges awarded first place (Gold) and second place (Silver) in each division across fifteen categories. For the finale at the end of the night, three Best In-House awards were awarded to recognize excellent marketing work done “in-house” by a nonprofit organization’s own staff members. As well as a Best In Class award given to one entry in each division to mark the highest scoring entry in that division.
Now in their 19th year, the Philly Awards celebrate local nonprofits driving social change through outstanding achievements in marketing and communications. Nonprofit Connect’s signature contest enhances the image of nonprofit organizations and elevates the professionalism of nonprofit communications in our community. (According to a 2021 Philly Award winner.)

COMMUNITY CHAMPION AWARD
Nonprofit Connect also awarded the Community Champion Award to two creative agencies. Nonprofit Connect added the Community Champion Award to recognize those creative agencies that go above and beyond to support the nonprofit community. Nonprofit organizations nominated agencies that deserved to be thanked for their generous donation of time, talent or treasure, and a committee selected two winners based on their pro-bono work, company volunteerism and a culture of community involvement. The winners receive the Community Champion 2022 recognition, as well as a complimentary membership with Nonprofit Connect to supercharge their agency's involvement in 2023.
