Pee Wee’s Walk – Supporting Families After Homicide Loss
Join KC Mothers in Charge for the 8th Annual Pee Wee’s Walk, a community walk that brings Kansas City together to support families grieving the loss of a loved one to homicide.
Named in honor of Antonio “Pee Wee” Thompson, the son of KC Mothers in Charge founder Rosilyn Temple, the walk serves as both a tribute and a call to action. Each year, families, community members, and organizations come together to remember those lost to violence while raising funds that provide direct support to families navigating the trauma of violent loss.
Proceeds from Pee Wee’s Walk support KC Mothers in Charge’s work providing homicide response, trauma-informed support groups, counseling, and ongoing outreach to families affected by violent loss throughout the Kansas City community.
Held during National Crime Victims’ Rights Week, Pee Wee’s Walk offers individuals, companies, and organizations an opportunity to stand with families on their path toward healing.
Businesses and organizations are encouraged to participate by forming employee teams or supporting the event as sponsors, demonstrating their commitment to strengthening and supporting the Kansas City community.
Together, we walk for healing, hope, and a safer Kansas City.
