A free women’s breakfast and panel discussion exploring the physical, emotional, and cognitive changes associated with perimenopause and menopause. Local experts in gynecology, healthy aging, gerontology, and international community development will share practical, doctor-backed guidance and global perspectives on midlife care. Only 5% of health research funding goes to women's health beyond reproductive years — and less than 1% is dedicated to studying the impacts of menopause. Kansas City has a chance to lead this critical conversation. In many communities around the world, poverty, hard labor, and limited healthcare access leave women without adequate support during midlife transitions. Outreach International has spent decades building a model that empowers people to create lasting change, and Thrive in Transition applies that proven framework right here at our Kansas City headquarters.
