Volunteer Opportunities

Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASAs) are appointed by judges to support children in foster care. They meet regularly with their assigned child, consult with professionals, and gather information from families and placements, spending about 10–12 hours per month. General volunteers also help CASA through events, committees, and donation drives.

Board meets five evenings per year (in person/Zoom); members make a personal annual gift and support fundraising and events like Spotlight: Charlie Parker. Sandwiched KC is a 501(c3) nonprofit that has stood beside family caregivers in the Kansas City metro since 2018, offering free coaching, support groups, education, and connection to local resources. As we enter a pivotal chapter of strategic growth, we're building a board that matches our momentum.
