Help us out by assisting in the warehouse with various activities, including moving inventory from one part of the warehouse to another, assisting our furniture cleaning team with inventory rotation, accepting incoming donations, and more.

The mission of the Women's Employment Network (WEN) is to help women raise their self-esteem and achieve economic independence through sustained employment.

KCRW is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit roller derby sports organization and one of the founding members of WFTDA. We have current openings on our Board, and seek members with a variety of skills & experience, particularly in the areas of legal, financial, real estate, and interpersonal expertise. The American Cancer Society's Kansas City Chairman’s Circle (CC) is intended to provide a diverse executive leadership forum for advancing the our life-saving mission. This advocacy includes assisting ACS staff by promoting program priorities and informing the public about ACS organizational priorities. Chairman’s Circle members will be asked to assist by advancing mission priorities, securing financial support, recognizing key contributors and building relationships with community leaders.

Front Porch Alliance is a community organization that serves the ever-changing educational needs of the Eastside of Kansas City. Currently, we are seeking volunteers who can support day-to-day office functions in a receptionist capacity. While needs may shift depending on the current programming, responsibilities will include answering phones and general office support.

The National Museum of Toys and Miniatures is seeking volunteers to serve 3-year terms on the Board of Directors. Volunteers are also needed to serve as community members of the Fundraising, Learning & Engagement, Building and Grounds, or other committees. The Museum has the world’s largest fine-scale miniature collection and one of the nation’s largest historic toy collections on public display. Since the Folly reopened in 1981, the Grand Lady of Twelfth Street has relied on dedicated volunteers to give their time and keep her shining. We house the toy and doll collection of Mary Harris Francis and the fine-scale miniatures of Barbara Marshall. Located in the Historic Tureman mansion, the museum was founded in the early 1980s and has been brought to national prominence in recent years. Our professional staff is looking to collaborate with volunteers to provide a delightful and informative experience to museum-goers.

Committees meet monthly to discuss several different areas of operations in the Waldo Community. Currently, the Waldo Area Business Association operates the following committees: Ambassadors, Marketing, Property, and Security.

The Road To Recovery Volunteer Driver provides people with transportation to and from their cancer-related medical appointments. Drivers donate their time to help people with cancer get the lifesaving treatments they need.

Long term volunteering opportunity

Through volunteering at MOCSA, you join a community of diverse individuals who are dedicated to ending sexual violence in our society. MOCSA has many opportunities for Volunteers interested in serving their community, including Hospital Advocacy, Crisis Line and Project Aware (Education).

Volunteer to set up and tear down the Rozarks Luminary Hike. Volunteers will be helping set up Christmas lights.

The Sewing Labs is growing and thriving, and we’re expanding our board of directors. We’re especially seeking leaders with expertise in Finance, Fundraising, and Workforce Development to guide our mission of teaching the legacy of sewing for employment, entrepreneurship, and enrichment. Board members serve two-year terms, meet quarterly, and make a personally meaningful financial contribution.
