About Us
Raise Up KC is the independent nonprofit built on the ten-year success of Race Project KC, originally launched by the Johnson County Library. We connect students, community members, and educators to confront the redlining, racial covenants, and blockbusting that divided Kansas City and build relationships that shape what comes next.
Highlights
- Race Project KC built the foundation. Raise Up KC is what stands on it.
- Teaching the history of redlining, racial covenants, and blockbusting that shaped Kansas City's dividing lines
- Three programs: Race Project KC, Rise Up Leaders, and Raise Up Community
- Connecting Across Divides: See the Lines. Bridge the Lines. Undo the Impact.
- Independent Missouri 501(c)(3) rooted in a decade of Johnson County Library partnership. Give today.
