The Kansas Job Olympics is on Thursday, April 9th at Johnson County Community College. We need volunteer judges in a variety of employment related competitions. Job Olympics brings together over 500 students from 30+ different schools throughout the area. Competitions representing actual job and employment situations are judged by business people from the community and professionals in education.

Creating opportunities for high school students with developmental disabilities.

Docents (Tour Guides) – Docents are responsible for leading guided public tours at the Wornall and Majors Houses and/or facilitating self-guided public tours at the Majors House. We provide training and supplemental materials for all docents, plus information about opportunities for continuing education. Time Commitment: Public tours are offered Wednesday-Sunday at the Wornall House and Thursday-Sunday at the Majors House.

Camp Quality is an intentional camp focused on providing support for kids who have/had cancer and their families through summer camps and various year-round events. A new initiative to promote an increase of support is for each camp to develop a dedicated Psychosocial Team comprised of individuals who are skilled in providing social, emotional, and behavioral support, also known as psychosocial support. The goal of the CQ Psychosocial Team is to help identify and provide support to campers and families.

Kansas City regional conservation non-profit works with voluntary landowners to preserve and protect open spaces and working land for future generations. We partner with conservation organizations and local and state agencies to achieve our mission. To achieve our 2025 strategic plan, Platte Land Trust is expanding our Board of Directors.
