About Us
Bishop Ward High School provides a quality, Catholic, college-preparatory education in a Christ-centered community that nurtures the body, mind, and soul of each student.
We are the only Catholic High School in Wyandotte County and have been serving the urban core on 18th Street in Kansas City, KS for 107 years. Our current student enrollment is 325 and we are proud of our unique diversity enrolling 70% minority students.
We graduated 100% of our 91 seniors in 2014-15; they collectively earned more than $3.3 million in scholarships and an outstanding 1047 college credit hours through the Donnelly alliance.
Our small school environment enables 10:1 student to teacher ratio and we offer unique programs including Academy of Finance and Heritage Spanish.
All of our families pay tuition based on family income, but scholarship and financial aid assistance is provided in order to enable everyone who desires a faith filled but high quality education to receive one. 60% of our student body qualifies for federal free and reduced lunch.
Bishop Ward is a beacon in the Kansas City, Kansas community and with our growing endowment, we plan to stay for a long time.
