About Us

Bra Couture KC has raised over $5M in the past 14 years specifically to provide cancer care to uninsured/underinsured men and women in the greater Kansas City metropolitan area.

Our primary funding comes from an annual event at the Grand Ballroom that sells out at 1200 patrons with the KC Chiefs, Royals and other celebrity athletes on the runway with men and women cancer survivors. Last year we raised $652,000 and every dollar raised here stays here in KC to provide good care to those in need. Imagine facing cancer without insurance.

Local hospitals actively invite Bra Couture KC to open our care centers on premises because neither the hospital nor Medicaid will provide the extra care needs to uninsured cancer patients, e.g., prescriptions that would help manage chemo treatments, or rent and utilities paid direct and food and gas cards for those too ill to work during treatment who have hourly jobs and are not being paid.

Consequently, Bra Couture KC is the single source for cancer care for uninsured patients with physical centers or Patient in Need Funds in 6 hospitals or stand-alone cancer organizations; in 2025 we have been requested to expand into four more hospitals and to create three separate gas card funds in suburban hospitals that serve the surrounding rural communities of Kansas City; these rural patients are in desperate need of gas for transportation for cancer care to the suburban hospitals. Most of our patients are at or 200% below the Federal Poverty level.
