About Us
The mission of Horizon Academy is to empower students diagnosed with dyslexia and other language-based learning disabilities to become effective learners and confident self-advocates.
We are the only accredited school in the Kansas City metro area offering services to students with dyslexia.
The student/teacher ratio is 5:1, and we have approximately 115 students enrolled each full school year. We also offer a summer program for a month, and year-round tutoring services, plus testing services.
