Matt is the chairman and CEO of Kinetic. During his more than 20 years with Kinetic, Matt has helped thousands of nonprofits in the United States and around the world raise billions of dollars to expand and build facilities, create and enlarge programs, and initiate and grow endowments.

Matt is a featured speaker on fundraising and fundraiser compensation in the United States and abroad. He is the author of Performance-Driven Fundraising: Taking Control of Your Success and author/co-author of multiple academic textbook chapters and journal articles. Matt holds a bachelor of journalism in news editorial from the Missouri School of Journalism at the University of Missouri-Columbia and a master of public administration in nonprofit management and doctor of philosophy in organizational behavior and higher education administration from UMKC’s Bloch School of Management and School of Education.

Joe has an MPA with a focus in nonprofit leadership, holds a Certificate in Fundraising from the Midwest Center for Nonprofit Leadership and has completed the Grantsmanship Center grant training program.

He has presented on fundraising techniques for Nonprofit Connect and the Association for Fundraising Professionals and is a 2012 Alumnus of the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce Centurions civic leadership program.

Joe holds a Bachelor of Music from Oklahoma City University and has directed youth theater productions in San Diego and Kansas City.

Prior to joining Kinetic, Tammy served as director of development – corporations and foundations for the University of Kansas Health System. Before her time at KU, she was the director of development for Boy Scouts of America – Heart of America Council, where she led and managed efforts to raise $8 million annually. Other nonprofit experiences include work at the Susan G. Komen Foundation and Girl Scouts of NE Kansas and NW Missouri.

Tammy earned a bachelor of science in nonprofit management from the University of Northern Iowa and is a member of NonProfit Connect.

Lou Gehring was Senior Executive Director of The Shawnee Mission Medical Center Foundation from 2003 until joining Kinetic. Lou raised over $80 million during his tenure at The Shawnee Mission Medical Center Foundation. He served as President of AFP Kansas City Chapter and was chair of the Professional Advancement subcommittee of the AFP Strategic Planning Committee from 1999-2000. In 2009, Lou was honored as the Outstanding Fundraising Professional of the Year in Kansas City by the Mid America Chapter of AFP.

In 2010 Lou was given the annual Community Service Award by Shawnee Mission Medical Center. In 2017, Ingram’s Magazine named him one of 50 Kansans You Should Know. Lou holds a Master of Music degree from Southern Methodist University; an undergraduate degree from Loyola University New Orleans; and a performance certificate from El Estudio de Arte Guitarristico in Mexico City, DF, Mexico.

Lauren’s three decades of extraordinary experience span the private and nonprofit sectors. As executive director of the Jewish Community Foundation of Greater Kansas City, she developed Kansas City’s first Jewish community-wide endowment training, education and development program, securing more than $112 million in realized gifts and expectancies. Prior to joining the Foundation, Lauren worked at the Kansas University Endowment Association in a variety of development capacities. She has also served as an instructor and lecturer at the university level for nonprofit administration and management and nonprofit leadership studies.

Lauren received a Bachelor of Arts with Honors from Yale College and Juris Doctor from New York University School of Law. She is a 21/64 Certified Philanthropic Advisor with significant expertise in planned giving, strategic plan implementation and family philanthropy.

Ross, a member of the Kinetic Leadership Team, has a strong track record of development leadership and nonprofit management. He has worked with a wide range of nonprofit organizations, from youth development, conservation, education, social services and sports organizations to health-based, disaster relief, outdoors and faith-based organizations. Through strategic, research-based counsel and management, Ross provides leadership and confidence in his work with nonprofit organizations.

He holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Business Administration/Finance and Economics from Rockhurst University where he received the Finucane Service Scholarship for community service, the Ignatian Award for academic achievement and graduated with honors.
