About Us
The Northeast Community Center serves the growth, development and education of the diverse Historic Northeast in Kansas City, Missouri. Programs include: Harmony Project KC, Care Services, and Path to College.
Harmony Project KC:
*Year-round orchestral music education through instrument sectionals and ensemble rehearsals
*Electives such as piano, guitar, and Music Therapy
*Performance opportunities at iconic venues like the Kauffman Center, Folly, the Gem, and more
*Workshops with internationally acclaimed artists like Yo-Yo Ma and Randall Goosby
Path to College:
*Connections to tutoring
*School choice navigation support through community partners
*Community mentors for seniors
*Workshops on FAFSA, scholarship writing, mock interviews, and more
Care Services:
*Bilingual Student & Family Advocate to connect families to community resources in the areas of early childhood, food assistance, health care, mental health support, housing, utilities, immigration, and more
*On-site Community Health Worker from Samuel Rodgers Health Center
*Limited emergency assistance funding
